Make Leyra feel like a gentle ritual app

Leyra reminders are opt-in and user-controlled. The simple answer is: Chrome/Edge can use one-click browser reminders; iPhone/iPad users install to Home Screen; Mac Safari users add Leyra to the Dock.

iPhone / iPad

Install to Home Screen

Open Leyra in Safari, tap Share, choose Add to Home Screen, then open the installed icon before enabling reminders.

Android

One-click push where supported

Android and Chromium browsers usually support a direct reminder opt-in. Use reminder preferences to choose morning, evening or no reminders.

Mac

Chrome/Edge direct; Safari Add to Dock

Chrome and Edge can enable reminders directly. Mac Safari users should add Leyra to the Dock, open the installed app, then enable reminders.

Reminder flow

What the user should understand

1. Keep the flow simple. Use one click on supported browsers. On Apple devices, show the shortest install step: Home Screen on iPhone/iPad, Dock on Mac.

2. Permission is explicit. Leyra asks only when the user chooses to enable reminders on a supported browser.

3. Quiet reminders beat noisy alerts. Payloads should never contain private reading text, memory text or journal content.

4. Preferences must be easy to find. Users should be able to turn email, browser push and future WhatsApp reminders on or off from account/profile areas.

QA checklist

Before promoting app-style reminders

  • The primary reminder path is one click where supported, with email fallback elsewhere.
  • Permission prompt appears only after an explicit user action.
  • Reminder preferences explain morning, evening, quiet hours and unsubscribe/disable options.
  • Push payloads contain only safe, non-private reminder copy.
  • Notification click tracking appears in Admin/PWA reminders.
